Production is currently small, which is what dictates that products are designed and largely handbuilt by myself, Bill Spencer. This dictates some price penalty, so direct sales are used to keep the price reasonable. While it may still appear at first that my effects are more expensive than comparable mass-market units, I think further examination should convince you there is no such thing, and my products reflect a superior combination of innovation, quality and value than anything produced by large companies and "boutiques" alike. I am a BSEE (1982) and built my first fuzzbox in 1976. By the end of the 70s I was working on my own designs, and also began working with vacuum tube circuits in the mid-80s. I also have over 28 years in the electronics profession, including digital hardware design, patents, and repair.
